Shimla police arrested 40 protesting teachers, who had returned for dharna outside the Secretariat after having released on the bail. Yesterday, more than 70 striking teachers were arrested, but later released on bail.
Meanwhile, the government released the second list of the irregular appointments ordered by the earlier government.
A spokesman of Education Department said,8220;Numerous irregularities have been found in the appointments such as ignoring qualification and merit.8221;
The inquiry revealed the candidates were appointed without following proper procedure, violating of rules.
The spokesman said the government received 134 complaints from Rohru area of which 63 candidates were recommended for discontinuation of service.
The details of other irregular appointments were also released.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Saturday said Vande Bharat Sleeper trains will be introduced across all states, including Kerala. He made the comments during a press briefing at New Delhi railway station after inspecting the Howrah–Guwahati–Howrah Vande Bharat Sleeper rake, which is set to be launched this month.
