VADODARA, June 28: After much hue and cry over admissions at the Faculty of Commerce, things seem to have fallen into place with forms being screened.

The faculty had accepted as many as 6,090 forms from applicants. A senior professors in the faculty said that the screening procedure had already started and the merit list would be declared on Wednesday.

8220;As many as 100 forms of people who passed on the second attempt have been rejected8221;, he added.

The professor also opined that apart from these forms there were also a few forms which would be considered but the students would not take admissions as they had kept commerce as their optional choice.

He opined that with these screenings, the faculty could accommodate students who had secured even 40 per cent, lower than last year8217;s cut-off. 8220;The total number of forms now with the faculty leaves it with enough options and would enable it to accommodate as many students as last year,8221; said the professor.
