Sangeet Akademi reconstituted

CHANDIGARH, Sept 24: The Chandigarh Administration has reconstituted the general council of Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Akademi, with G.S. Channi as its chairman, Dolly Ahluwalia Tiwari as vice- chairman, Munna Dhiman as secretary and Harmeet Basur as treasurer.

UT Director Public Relations S.P. Arora will be the nominee of the administrative secretary, Cultural Affairs, while finance and planning officer Satish Joshi would be the financial adviser. The ex-officio members include Lajpat Rai Bhawan director Onkar Chand, GCG-11 lecturer Jaswinder Kaur, drama teachers Prof Mahinder and Prof Prehlad Aggarwal, Seema Bhalla, journalist Raja Jai Kishan, music teacher Neerja Chathley, Jainendra Singh, theatre actor H.S. Kohli, principal Guru Harkrishan Public School Harpreet Kaur, GCG-11 principal Vijay Laxmi, theatre activist Sumit Sood, Sidharath, social activist Harleen Kohli, theatre activist Renu Soni and P. Punita.The term of the general council shall be for two years.
