Samaroh8217;99 ends on grand note

SURAT, Sept 29: Samaroh8217;99, a three-day programme which exhibited works of renowned architects, lectures and slide shows, ended here on Wednesday evening.

The event was held at the Faculty of Architecture in the MTB college premises and was jointly organised by Architecture Students Activity Council ASAC and the Surat Centre of the Indian Institute of Architects. Samaroh8217;99 was inaugurated by civic commissioner G P Mohapatra and drew sizeable enthusiasts from all over the city. A release put the programme as success.

A release issued by the organisers said highlights of the three-day event were included lectures by architects of national repute, exhibition of works by the students and those of Pune-based Prassana Desai, Vadodara-based Anand Shirgaonkar and Shirish Beri all renowned architects.
