A day after the Patna High Court rejected his anticipatory bail petition, RJD MP Sadhu Yadav today came under intense pressure to surrender with a special court issuing proclamation notice against him in the flood relief scam case, first reported by The Indian Express.
Special vigilance judge R N Prasad granted the prayer of the Vigilance Investigation Bureau and ordered a proclamation notice to be issued against Yadav, brother-in-law of RJD chief and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad, asking him to surrender by June 9, failing which his properties will be attached.
The issue of proclamation notice is a step prior to the attachment of the assets of the accused and now the investigating and prosecuting agency will get notices asking Yadav to surrender before the trial court stuck on premises owned by him. The Vigilance Court had rejected his anticipatory bail application on April 18.
