Sachin, Srinath skip Challenger

MUMBAI, FEBRUARY 7: Sachin Tendulkar, Saurav Ganguly and Javagal Srinath have pulled out of the February 10-13 Challenger Trophy limited-overs tournament in Ahmedabad.

Tendulkar has cited the need for rest while Ganguly and Srinath have reported injuries. Ganguly is recovering from a knee injury while Srinath opted out to undergo 8220;strenuous rehabilitation for hip strenghthening8221;. In their absence, Rahul Dravid and Mohammad Azharuddin will lead the India and India A teams respectively. They have been replaced by SS Das Orissa, Ashu Dani Delhi and Harvinder Singh Sodhi MP.
