Rowing meet from March 27

The meet will be conducted in men and women singles event, boys under-18 and under-16 singles and girls under-16 singles events.

Entries close with CLTA, general manager, on March 25.

Weightlifting team
A nine-member Chandigarh team will take part in the forthcoming senior National weightlifting championships to be held at Asansol from April 21 to 25.

According to a press release following are the members of the team: Manwar Singh, Nirjit Singh, Jaswinder Singh, Harjit Singh, Harinder Kumar, Surinder Singh, Malikit Singh, Shalinder Sigh, John Sanjeev Pearson.

HS Bansal and KG Thapar will accompany the team as coach and manager, respectively.

Handball competition
The Chandigarh Handball Association CHA will organise 13th junior state handball championships boys and girls from March 26 to 28 at DAV Senior Secondary School in Sector 8.

Players born on or January 2, 1979 are eligible for the meet.

Entries close with Ravinder Singh, handball coach, on March 25 at the venue.

Bridge tourney
The Chandigarh Bridge Association is organising national pairs bridge tournament on March 28, at Bridge Coaching Centre at Sports Complex, Sector 42. The meet would begin at 10 a.m. Entries will be taken at the spot at 9.30 a.m.
