BIG WIN FOR BORIVILIANS: Borivilians Sports recorded an easy 3-0 win over Ace XI in a match of the MDFA tournament for the JC Maitra Cup at the St Xavier’s Sports Complex, Parel today. H Patil, Rajiv Jose and Vijay Anand scored a goal each for the winners.

DAWER STRETCHED: Fancied players — Kamal Tulshan, Chirag Ramakrishnan and Jitender Dawer advanced into the semi-finals of the CCI Open Snooker Championship in impressive fashion at the CCI Club today.

Unlike Dawer, who was stretched the distance by Mahesh Chhabria, Tulshan and Ramakrishnan had a fairly smooth sailing.

Ashok Shandilya and state junior champion Manav Panchal entered the snooker semi-finals.
