Sometimes there8217;s a concept that you just know you can8217;t go wrong with. 8220;100 Biryanis8221; belongs to that category. And as incredible as it may sound, the fact remains that true to its name, the eatery actually dishes up an unbelievable range of 100 kinds of biryanis on its menu.

Located strategically on Satara Road, opposite Bharati Vidyapeeth, 8220;100 Biryanis8221; earlier existed as a cafeacute;-Just4U- and still carries some of that ambience given the wrought iron lamp posts and striped awnings. But settle down in the pleasant and comfortable tables at the place and there8217;s no mistaking the delicious aroma in the air.

8220;We wanted to reinvent ourselves and come up with something that wasn8217;t there in the city. Whipping up one hundred biryanis seemed just the thing,8221; says the dynamic Pavandeep Singh Kohli, a hotel management graduate from the city, who came up with the innovative concept and is now the driving force behind this family venture.

Divided into 50 vegetarian and 50 non-vegetarian biryanis, you can start your treat with the menu card itself that lists all the ingeniously devised dishes. For the carnivores the variety to choose form is mind-boggling. You can go in for the more traditional for Mutton Lucknowi Biryani Rs 160 or then get adventurous with a Dragon Prawns Biryani Rs 190 or a Surmai koliwada Biryani Rs 160. According to Kohli their Murg Hyderabadi Biryani and Chicken Sukka Biryani Rs 140 each are amongst their most popular orders.

Vegetarians have been, pleasantly enough, given equal treatment at this biryani joint with 50 varieties at their service too. So you have the Pahari Paneer Biryani Rs 120 and the Tale Hue Aloo Ki Biryani Rs 110 or the Methi Chaman Biryani Rs 140 all aimed at wooing you with their aroma born out of dum cooking. What makes the dishes even more enticing are the clay pots in which all the biryanis are served. In fact even take-aways are sent in these clay pots if desired at a nominal extra charge, informs Kohli. With a permit room and a variety of Kebabs also on offer, 100 Biryanis has already captivated a loyal clientele in the three months of its existence. From here the gastronomic journey can only get better.
