BIRMINGHAM, June 7: A battling 95 by Jonty Rhodes rescued South Africa in the first Test against England at Edgbaston today.Rhodes and all-rounder Lance Klusener, who hit 57, shared an eighth-wicket stand of 104 to ensure South Africa made the 263 runs they needed to avoid having to follow-on.
