A destiny of her own is set in the year 1565, in Venice and based on the true story of Veronica Franco, a courtesan gone wrong.Veronica Catherine McCormack is brilliant, gifted and beautiful, but the handsome aristocrat she loves, Marco Venier Rufus Sewell, cannot marry her because she is penniless and her family background is questionable. So, Veronica8217;s mother, Paola Jacqueline Bisset, grooms her to become a courtesan 8211; an exotic companions favored by the richest and most powerful Venetian men. Courtesans, though excluded from the polite female society of wives and daughters, were the only women allowed an education or knowledge of the arts and their sophistication gave them access to the hearts and minds of men in the highest places.

Kaho Na Pyaar Hai is the perfect film to launch a star son. Rakesh Roshan has been smart enough to make a film which encompasses all the facets of acting 8211; drama, action, romance, comedy and tragedy, all of them enacted pretty well by Hritik Roshan. The same,however, can8217;t be said about Amisha Patel. As for the story, it is laden with cliches in the first half but becomes interesting in the second.

Rohit Hritik, a poor chap, falls in love with Sonia Amisha, a rich gal at first sight. After some fun and masti, when they realize that they want to get married, in comes Sonia8217;s daddy dearest Anupam Kher, who vehemently disapproves of the match.

Around this time, Rohit witnesses the murder of the police commissioner at the hands of Dalip Tahil Anupam Kher8217;s partner and his cronies Ashish Vidyarthi and Monish Behl. However, they see him and go after him. In order to make it look like an accident they push him into the ocean. Since he can8217;t swim, he drowns. But, there is an element of suspense here, cause the police are unable to find his body.

Sonia is totally distraught and to take her mind off Rohit she is sent away to New Zealand, where she gets the shock of her life. For she meets Rohit8217;s look-alike who goes by the name of Raj Chopra. Is hejust Rohit8217;s double or did Rohit somehow survive? And if he is just a double, then how does he ferret out Rohits killers? Watch the movie and find out for yourself.

Beautiful locales, wonderful music and fast, snappy narration makes this a total timepass movie.

After a long time, here is an album which is a pleasure to listen to, through and through 8211; Kaho Na Pyaar Hai.

There is not even one song which is not enjoyable. Be it the funky Kaho Na Pyaar Hai or the sultry Na Tum Jano Na Hum

sung by Lucky Ali, the masti bhara Pyaar Ki Kashti Mein which reminds one of Kheva Re Kheva from Doli Saja Ke Rakhna or the fun-filled Janeman Janeman. All these on just side A. The same fun and masti is there on side B with songs like Chand Sitare, Ek Pal Ka Jeena, Dil Ne Dil Ko Pukara and Believe inLove. Good lyrics with love as the predominant theme, with equally good music even though certain tunes remind you of other songs is in store for you in this album.
