Reliance ups stake in BSES Ltd to 40.29 per cent. In a notice to the National Stock Exchange NSE here on Wednesday, Reliance power Ventures Ltd said the company, Reliance Industries Ltd, including persons acting in concert has purchased 32,64,720 shares amounting to 2.37 per cent and also sold 4,874 shares in the period between April 1 till Tuesday.
The shareholding after acquisition was 5,54,89,594 shares which amounts to 40.29 per cent, it said adding the shares were bought and sold through the market. As per the data available with the BSE, as on June 30 2002, Reliance Industrial Investments 038; Holdings Ltd and RIL held 9.89 per cent and 1.13 per cent respectively in the power utility. Banks, FIs and insurance companies had 28.42 per cent stake in BSES followed by UTI at 8.66 per cent.
