MUMBAI, JUNE 20: Rashtriya Chemical and Fertilisers RCF women clinched their third title in row with triumph in the Central Revenue Table Tennis tournament at Khar Gymkhana today.

Buoyed by junior star Mallika Parekh, RCF beat hitherto unbeaten Central Railway 3-0 in the concluding round robin league match. The result saw three teams tie on points at the top of the five-team league. RCF, however, emerged winners over Western and Central Railways on better match record. Western finished runners-up.

After Mamta Prabhu beat Leena Medhakar 21-16, 23-21 Mallika put RCF 2-0 ahead with a fluent 21-10, 21-17 win over Radhika Ghatnekar before the winners sealed the issue with a doubles victory.

Mallika and Mamta then teamed up to outwit Leena and Radhika 21-9, 21-19 to clinch the championship.

Challengers triumph

Young Challengers trounced Young Boys Siddharth 5-0 in the Guru Nank Cup organised by MDFA at the St Xavier8217;s Ground, Parel on Saturday. The scores read 4-0 at half-time.

Sandeep Kambletwo, Prasad Adate, Robert Kharat and Vaibhav Kadam netted for the winners

.Roy nets winner

A lone goal by Shudep Roy turned out to be the match-winner for Holiday Inn against Colaba Young Star in the WIFA-conducted Senior Division football league at the Cooperage, today.
