Ravishankar, Bannerji share lead

MUMBAI, November 15: D Ravishankar Elo rating 2090 and Sushant Bannerji share the lead with four points from four rounds in the second Rochess state Level Junior Chess Tournament being held at the Dadoji Konddeo Stadium, Thane.

Ravishankar needed 35 moves to defeat Prakash Golecha of Aurangabad in French Defence, Tarrasch variation while Sushant Bannerji defeated Ashish Thatte in Kings Indian defence.

In the under-14 section, four players 8212; Pranav Akolkar, Ameya Karandikar, Vaibhav Saxena and Saurabh Barve 8212; are ahead with four points each, while in the under-10 section, top seed Akash Khalwadekar outplayed Kruttika Nadig.
