Remember we brought you a story a few days back that mentioned fashion design students of the Inter National Institute of Fashion Design INIFD working on a project to give Ravana a new improvised look for this Ramleela? Well, Project Dashagriva is complete and the result is fascinating. Students have designed the costume which signifies four Vedas, six shastras and ten heads earned by Ravana. The front of the dress signifies the Tandava Nritya of Natraj which principally depicts Shakti of Shiva. The outfit8217;s waistline has a painted Lord Kuber which depicts that Ravana is the God of Richness. 8216;Kaal8217; has been tied at the right leg of Ravana which symbolizes that he is the slave of Ravana. The centre motif of Ravana shows the Jagrit Kendilini Shakti and Nine Chakras. Not many are aware that Ravana was an exemplary scholar and an expert in 64 art forms which is been depicted in his new makeover. The team of 15 students which undertook extensive research for the project include: Arka Mriyank, Rashmi, Aashish, Robin, Sumit Rana, Punkaj Prabhakar, Anupam, Madhuri, Sapna, Pradeep, Shalini, Akansha, Shaina, Aakriti and Priyanka. Stepping in the costume and taking it on stage will be city8217;s Sunil Sharma who plays Ravana at the Parade ground Ramleela.
