The Ranji Trophy Super League is set for an exciting climax when the seventh and final round ties start on Christmas Day with no team as yet sure of making it to the semi-finals.

Group A is headed by Saurashtra with 20 points, and is tantalisingly poised with any two of the top five still theoretically capable of making it to the last four. Saurashtra, who take on hosts Mumbai (18 points) in the last league tie at the Wankhede Stadium, are best placed to go through. They need only three points to make the issue safe.

Delhi, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu are all still in the hunt for the semis. Maharashtra are taking on no-hopers Karnataka (10) in their last league tie at Ratnagiri.
