Ramdev meets Ramadoss

Yoga guru Baba Ramdev called on Health Minister Ramadoss on Tuesday, taking forward their newfound camaraderie and their joint mission to combat harmful substances such as alcohol, tobacco and even junk food.

According to sources, the visit at Ramadoss8217;s residence lasted a good half hour, with both parties commending each other8217;s efforts in promoting good health. 8220;They discussed the health benefits of yoga and also that it should be introduced to rural areas. Both the minister and Baba Ramdev were quite agreeable towards a new co-operation,8221; said an official.

Their newly forged cooperation, however, is a drastic turnaround from last year when the two engaged in a war of words over the treatment of AIDS. While Baba Ramdev had claimed that yoga could prove to be a cure for the disease, the Health Minister retaliated by questioning the scientific validity of the yoga guru8217;s claims.
