Quiz contest

CHANDIGARH, Aug 4: The UT Education department will be organising a quiz competition for the students of the city, SAS Nagar and Panchkula on August 12 at Tagore Theatre, as a part of the closing ceremony of the golden jubilee celebrations of Indian independence.

Private and government schools can send two teams, each comprising three students. The entries are to be sent to the principal, GMSSS-35 by 1.30 pm on August 8.

However, after preliminary round only one will be allowed to represent the school in the final round. Theme of the quiz competition is Chandigarh8217;. The prizes for the first three winning teams will be Rs 5,000, Rs 3,500 and Rs 2,500, respectively. The organisers are expecting the participation of nearly 50 teams.
