State transfers four officials
MUMBAI: The State Government today, transferred four senior officials. A K D Jadhav has been transferred to the cooperation and textiles department as its principal secretary. Sanjay Ubale has been made the additional development commissioner of the industries department. B G Veer and Sunil Porwal will be officer on special duty of the Maharashtra Rajya Khadi Gramudyog Mandal and secretary of the State Power Regulatory Board respectively.
US sanctions
WASHINGTON: The United States has said the sanctions imposed against India after last year8217;s nuclear tests would continue and that lending by international financial institutions for the country8217;s non-basic human needs would be deferred. 8220;The sanctions against India, harsher than against Pakistan, would continue,8221; a State Department official told reporters here on Wednesday.
