Dettol, insulin to cost more
NEW DELHI: In a major blow to consumers, the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority today hiked prices of 20 drug formulations, including Dettol liquid anti-septic, Novalgin tablet and insulin injection. Prices of different bottles of Dettol have been increased in the range of 3.94 per cent and 5.44 per cent.
Bhutto sentenced
ISLAMABAD: Former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto was today sentenced to five years in jail, disqualified from politics and fined 8.6 million by the Lahore High Court.
Shaheen test-fired
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan today test fired a second nuclear-capable missile, the Shaheen I, the first in a new series of surface-to-surface missiles, with a range of 750 km 450 miles, military and Government officials said.
