Naidu resorts to reshuffle
HYDERABAD: In a major reshuffle, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today sacked four ministers and inducted 13 new faces into his ministry taking the strength of the council of ministers to thirty-seven. Seven ministers of cabinet rank and six ministers of state with independent charge were sworn in by the Governor at a simple ceremony.

CHENNAI: The police on Thursday foiled attempts by activists of the Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam PDK to burn effigies of Ram and Lakshman in a few places here, and took 25 of them, including its leader Anoor Jagadeesan, into custody.
The police had denied permission to the PDK, a splinter group of the Dravidar Kazhagam, to conduct Ravana lila8217; as a counter to the Ram lila8217; held in North India.
