47 alleged Bangladeshis in court

MUMBAI: As the issue of deportation of alleged illegal Bangladeshi immigrants hots up, yet another batch of 47 infiltrators was today produced in a city metropolitan court on their failure to prove Indian nationality. As many as 22 women among 47 alleged Bangaladeshis were produced in the court of additional Chief metropolitan magistrate N B Pokharkar as their police custody expired today. However, they failed to give any concrete proof of their Indian citizenship and were further remanded to judicial custody till August 13. They were picked up from various parts of the metropolis on July 17 and 18.

NEW DELHI: Delhi police have arrested five terrorists, including three Pakistanis and a Burmese national belonging to Laskar-e-Toiba8217;, a terrorist outfit backed by Pakistan8217;s ISI and seized a large quantity of explosives from them.

Murders in Juhu

MUMBAI: The Juhu police have recovered bullet riddled bodies of two youths from behind the Godrej bungalow near Juhu beach in Vile Parle west late this evening. Police said, the duo were killed using a .9 mm pistol and later dumped in the dense foliage behind the bungalow. One youth has been identified from his driver8217;s licence as Ramsheshrao Dhodke 30 and is said to be a resident of Aurangabad. The identity of the other youth, is yet to be ascertained. Police suspect involvement of Chhota Shakeel gang in the killing.

Bihar flood toll

PATNA: With four more deaths reported today, toll in the current spell of floods in Bihar rose to 38 as the overall situation continued to be grim affecting over fourand a half million people spread over 21 districts.
