
PANCHKULA, May 29: The Haryana unit of Punjabi Sahitya Academy celebrated the announcement of Punjabi as a second state language by observing this day as Punjabi Divas8217;. At a function held at Red Bishop, the Academy honoured three story writers of the state for their works in Punjabi. Haryana Governor Mahabir Prasad, gave away the awards to C.R. Moudgil, Asha Kundan and Iqbal Singh who had won the first three prizes respectively.
