MAPICON 8217;98
The Maharashtra Association of Physicians of India MAPICON will organise its annual conference, 8220;MAPICON 98,8221; in Pune. Around 800 delegates from Maharashtra are expected to attend the conference. The conference will discuss diseases like AIDS and hepatitis. Interested persons should register their names with Dr. P.K. Grant at the Ruby Hall clinic.
Dr Kulkarni for Germany
Dr Ashwini Kulkarni, a scientist at the Pune-based Indian Institute of Tropical Metrology, has left to participate in a meet on environmental research at Lauen-Burg, Germany. She will present a paper on Indian Monsoon.
Venkatakrishnan elected
P N Venkatakrishnan has been elected president of the Saraswati Vidyalaya Union. V S Lakshminarayan and Dr S Parameshwaran are elected vice-president and secretary, respectively.
CMSE results
Results of the Combined Medical Services Examination CMSE held by the Union Public Service Commission in February this year have been announced. The copy of the result is available at the Press Information Bureau, Chiplunkar Bhavan, near Alka Theatre, Shastri Road.
