Land acquired for road link to Kharadi
Decks have been cleared after eight years for the Pune Municipal Corporation to acquire 12,484 square metres land at survey number 43/1 on Pune-AhmednagarRoad for the Mundhwa-Kharadi link. The property had posed a problem for the road. Pathare and Associates had filed a civil suit after the PMC land acquisition department had notified its decision to acquire the property on March 31, 1990.

Corporator Ulhas Dhole-Patil played a significant role in persuading the owners to withdraw the suit as the land was needed to ease traffic bottlenecks. The owners handed over possession to the PMC on September 3.

The owners will get Rs 4.43 lakh under the transfer of development rights scheme.
