
Ghorpade dead
Kolhapur: Senior journalist and executive editor of local Marathi daily Pudhari, Chandrakant Ghorpade died here of heart attack on Wednesday morning. He was 63 and is survived by three sons and their families.
He was alone at Deepti Apartments in Tarabai Park. He was found lying on the floor by his maid servant.
His body was later brought to Pune. A number of eminent personalities including State general secretary of the Communist Party of India Govind Pansare paid their tributes to Ghorpade at the Pudhari office. Ghorpade had worked for Vishal Sahyadri and Sakal for a brief period while he was in Pune.
