Who says that Pune implies only wadas and peths? Having a legacy of history and rich culture behind it, Pune, sometimes called the `Big Apple’ of India, is a land of tremendous opportunities. Pune’s abundant educational resources has earned it the title of the `Oxford of the East’.The University of Pune is, undoubtedly, one of the best universities in India having within its folds some very popular colleges like Fergusson, Wadia and Symbiosis to name a few. Pune is famous for its `Ganesh Festival’ not only across India, but also abroad. It is celebrated with great pomp and vigour throughout the city. Its popularity has been instrumental in canonising the event as `Pune Festival’ and making it an annual fixture.

Apart from being the cultural capital of Maharashtra, there has also been a great industrial development in Pune and its suburbs. Multinationals have gradually indicated interest in making the city their domain.

Consequentially, all articles of human interest available elsewhere, today decorate the stands of Pune markets. Pune can be called the city that decides the future and also the city that sustains hope of the many people who make Pune their home.
