PSEB engineers call off stir

PATIALA, July 26: The PSEB Engineers Association has decided to call off their work-to-rule agitation immediately in view of the agreement reached between the UPSEB engineers and the Uttar Pradesh government. The UPSEB engineers ended their total strike today after this agreement.

However, the work-to-rule agitation at Lehra Mohabbat Thermal Plant would continue till the demand of GHTP engineers regarding reinstatement of engineer V. Sharma is not conceded by the PSEB management. The on-going agitation at Lehra Mohabbat has already affected the commissioning schedule of the second unit and any further delay in resolving the issue will seriously hamper both the construction as well as operation and maintenance work at the plant.
