Sourav Ganguly fulfils wish of 10-year-old boy

Former India skipper Sourav Ganguly today spent time with a 10-year-old boy from Dhanbad is suffering from aplastic anaemia,a disorder in which the bone marrow fails to make enough blood cells.

“I’m really charmed to see his fighting spirit,” Ganguly told reporters after spending more than half an hour Sumit Kumar at the Tata Medical Centre where he is being treated for the past three months.

Ganguly gifted the boy an autographed bat,chocolates a cake.

The programme was arranged by a Mumbai-based NGO that wishes of children suffering from life-threatening diseases.

“A wish fulfillment brings back what the illness takes away — hope,strength and joy,” said the programme-incharge.

“We have engaged volunteers all over India and they find out the wishes of such children.”
