Prince Charles to host TV cookery show!

Prince Charles,the heir to the British throne,is all set to make his debut as a television anchor -- by hosting the final of a popular cookery show.

Prince Charles,the heir to the British throne,is all set to make his debut as a television anchor 8212; by hosting the final of a popular cookery show.

The Prince,a passionate advocate of locally produced food,will be joined by Duchess of Cornwall on BBC28217;s 8216;Great British Menu8217; where top chefs will battle it out for a chance to cook a four-course banquet for high-profile guests.

The final banquet will be aired in a special one-hour show in June.

8220;We are delighted that the Prince of Wales has agreed to host this year8217;s Great British Menu banquet. As a strong advocate of farming and of local and organic food,his involvement will help make it a very special occasion,8221; Liam Keelan of BBC Daytime,was quoted by the 8216;Daily Express8217;.

The show will be the climax of the series in which chefs are being challenged to source ingredients from farms and estates near an historic property in their region. This will also champion another of the Prince8217;s favourite causes.

However,he is not the first Royal to become involved in the programme. In 2006,the Great British Menu prepared food for the Queen at her 80th birthday banquet.
