Michael Clarke splashes out on rural love nest

Oz captain has already bought a Bondi Beach apartment from a mate for 6 million.

After paying through the nose for the fishbowl Bondi Beach apartment he bought from a mate for 6 million dollars back in 2009,Michael Clarke has apparently learnt much about negotiating a good deal with property dealers in intervening years.

The cricket captain and his new bride Kyly Boldy recently exchanged on a magnificent 93ha estate at Berrima, paying 3.25 million dollars for the four-bedroom house, land, fenced cricket pitch, tennis court and equestrian centre. The house sold for 4.125 million dollars in 2006,the Daily Telegraph reported.

The magnificent homestead is understood to also feature a boathouse on a private lake.

The Clarkes will have to wait another six weeks before they can move in to the Berrima spread but are planning to use the home as a holiday retreat, keeping their Lilli Pilli mansion as their primary residence.

Sources say the head-over-heels cricket captain bought the house for his wife as a wedding gift.
