Carrie White is back,this time played by 16-year-old Kick Ass star Chloe Moretz. Unlike Sissy Spacek (the lead in the 1976 Brian De Palma film),who was in her mid-20s when making the film,Moretz was 15,giving her the advantage of being in the same age group as Carrie. Based on Stephen Kings 1974 novel,Carrie follows the story of an alienated high school girl with telekinetic powers. Julianne Moore plays her fanatical and overprotective mother. The modern twists in the film include cyber bullying when Carrie is humiliated,some girls take a video and put it up on Facebook. Reuters

First online halal sex shop

A Turkish entrepreneur has opened what he says is the countrys first online sex shop for Muslims,selling everything from lubricants to herbal aphrodisiacs and offering advice on how to have halal sex. Haluk Murat Demirel,38,said he had been inspired to launch the site (www.bayan.helalsexshop.com) by friends who wanted sex products but found the content on other websites too explicit. The website which offers advice on which sexual practices are banned by Islam and which are not had 33,000 visitors on a single day. Reuters

Kutcher highest paid US TV star

Ashton Kutcher and Jon Cryer,the stars of Two and a Half Men,are the highest paid actors on US television,said Forbes magazine. Kutcher topped the list for the second consecutive year with $24 million,but Cryer was not far behind with $21 million. Their 19-year-old co-star,Angus T Jones,came in seventh place with $11 million. Neil Patrick Harris of How I Met Your Mother debuted fourth on the list at $15 million. Patrick Dempsey of Greys Anatomy came fifth with $13 million.Reuters
