Jadeja ton powers Saurashtra to 305/5

An unbeaten century by Ravindra Jadeja catapulted Saurashtras score to a formidable 305 for five wickets on the opening day of their Ranji Trophy match against host Orissa at the Barabati Stadium. Put in to bat as Orissa chose to field after winning toss,the guests put up an impressive show as Jadeja smashed an unbeaten 141 in 213 deliveries.

Adding punch to Saurashtras batting was an equally valiant score by Bhushan Chauhan who scored 83 runs that included 15 boundaries. Saurashtra who were 97 for two wickets in 34 overs at lunch moved to 211 for four in 63.2 overs at tea. For Orissa,pacer Basanta Mohanty delivered took two wickets.
