Iran is ready to offer a new version of its nuclear package which will serve as a basis for talks with world powers, state owned English language Press TV said on Tuesday.

It said the package will be directed at the five permanent members of the UN Security Council – Britain,China,France,Russia and the United States — plus Germany.

The six world powers are to meet near Frankfurt on Wednesday to look into harsher UN sanctions against the Islamic republic.

International pressure is mounting for a new round of tougher sanctions against Iran if it refuses to return to talks over its nuclear programme amid long-held suspicions it is working to develop atomic weapons.
