Chennai: Dwayne Bravo is hoping that the exploits of Chris Gayle and Co would make selectors back home realise what they are missing. I am happy in the manner Chris has been performing. You feel proud when a fellow West Indian performs. It feels nice that West Indians are doing well in the Indian Premier League. May be we are not playing for the national team but the selectors will realise what they are missing, the Chennai Super Kings player said.
Taylor ready for national duty
Mumbai: West Indian fast bowler Jerome Taylor says he is ready for national duty if his services are required. 8220;I am always looking forward to play cricket for the West Indies. I8217;m looking forward to play against India if selected. It is not in my hands. I just have to make sure that I do what8217;s necessary on my part and leave the rest to the selectors,whether they find me fit to select or not. Sachins praise made my day
Mumbai: Pune Warriors leg-spinner Rahul Sharma,said that Sachin Tendulkar made his day when he praised him. 8220;It was a big day when Sachin paaji praised me at the prize distribution ceremony. That was a big day for me as he is like god to me. I felt very happy to be praised by him,8221; Sharma said. 8220;I wanted to do something good this year so that I could get into some sort of national reckoning. Delhi aim for good show next IPL
Dharamshala: Out of the play-offs race with yet another defeat,Delhi Daredevils8217; stand-in skipper James Hopes said the team will use the remaining games to find a proper combination for the next edition. 8220;We are trying to put in place a combination for the next year. At the same time,we still want to win games. In any sport,it takes time to gel. With the World Cup finishing so close to start of the IPL,that perhaps did not help our cause in first few games. Pollard,Symonds will fire
Mumbai: Mumbai Indians mentor Shaun Pollock said out of form all-rounders Kieron Pollard and Andrew Symonds were ready to fire in the last stages of the tournament. 8220;It8217;s exciting they have not fired as you are saying. CSA face audit of IPL bonuses
Johannesburg: South African tax authorities will conduct a full audit of Cricket South Africa CSA,including the controversial IPL bonuses paid to the management and staff in 2009,a report said. According to Business Day,the South African Revenue Services SARS audit will be done separately from independent investigation into the IPL bonuses that was agreed to by CSA last week despite its being initially shelved in favour of an internal inquiry.
RCA-Warne rift intensifies
Jaipur: The feud between Rajasthan Cricket Association and Rajasthan Royals captain Shane Warne intensified with the RCA calling a meeting to discuss the alleged public insult of RCA secretary Sanjay Dixit by the Australian. Dixit wrote on his Twitter page that the meeting will also discuss about investigating Rajasthan Royals8217; claim that the IPL side always got the wickets it wanted and to file a criminal complaint against former Australia batsman Dean Jones for making 8220;insulting remarks8221; against the association on a television channel.
