Indian sentenced to three years for selling bath salts

A 28-year-old Indian national has been sentenced to three years in prison by a US court for selling synthetic drugs commonly known as bath salts.

Phulbir Singh now faces deportation after serving his sentencing. Singh was convicted after he pleaded guilty. 8220;Singh said he was sorry,but the state blamed him for selling drugs that killed people besides having no legal status in the country,8221; the local Muncie Free Press reported.

According to the daily,representatives of the Sikh Temple in Indianapolis described Singh as hard working and helpful.
