Hamilton admits he cannot win F-1 Championship this year

Lewis Hamilton has admitted he cannot win this years Formula one championship.

McLaren racer Lewis Hamilton has admitted he cannot win this years Formula one championship as his team has failed to take enough risks to overcome the Red Bull.

Red Bulls Sebastian Vettel has secured a lead of 77 points over Hamilton. I just want to continue finishing races because Sebastian is pretty much gone. He has pretty much won the championship. Unless he doesnt finish the next 10 races, which is very, very unlikely,he is gone, The Telegraph quoted Hamilton as saying.

Hamilton added that McLarens performance had fallen away, claiming that the engineers had ignored him and elected not to take a risk, which could have handed them a significant chunk of lap time.

They McLaren did not want to take the risk. The question is whether or not we would have finished if we had taken the risk, but then that is what risk is all about. We had another couple of tenths available to us,which I think would have been quite strong and it would have helped look after our tyres, Hamilton said.

Hamilton also called on the team to be bold and take calculated risks in the coming races. I do know of some new parts that are coming but I think we need more. We need to take some risks because behind us is a big gap to the Mercedes, the Ferraris are in front of us and the Red Bulls are miles away.
