Four earthquakes hit western Nepal

The quakes,with the strongest measuring 5.6 on Richter scale,have hit Nepal in last 24 hours.

Four earthquakes,with the strongest measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale,have hit western Nepal in last 24 hours,the authorities here said today.

A tremor measuring 4.4 on the Richter was recorded at 12.17 am today,the National Seismological Centre said,adding three other tremors were also recorded in the same

region.

The epicentre of quakes was the border between Rukum and Rolpa districts,some 800-km west of Kathmandu.

Tremors measuring 5.6,5.2 and 4.4 on the Richter scale hit the region yesterday,it said.

However,no damage to human or property was not reported so far.
