Peter Moores, who was sacked as England coach last month, has advised Andrew Strauss and Co. to settle down quickly or else be left behind.

Moores, who lost the job following his fallout with former skipper Pietersen, said he was disappointed but added that he had no regrets. I would be wrong to say I was not disappointed about losing the job because I am a passionate Englishman and I love cricket and coaching cricket,so to lose a job like that was hard work, said Moores,a day after being appointed as Lancashire coach.

With England humiliated by the West Indies in the first Test,Moores felt the players need to adapt quickly to the changes in the game.

There has been lots said about that and England have got a massive Test match coming up it is not my responsibility anymore but over the last 18-20 months cricket has changed a tremendous amount.

I think the key for every country is they have got to settle down very quickly and sort themselves out in that structure, the 46-year-old was quoted as saying by The Independent.

Talking about his new job,Moores said: I had to think about it after losing the England job but it wasnt that big a decision for me. Of all the jobs apart from England I would want,in county cricket,it would be Lancashire.
