Lee undergoes surgery

Melbourne: Australian pacer Brett Lee has undergone surgery on his right elbow. Brett had surgery in Sydney yesterday to repair a damaged ligament in his right elbow joint. He will be required to use an elbow brace for a period of approximately six weeks and then commence more intensive rehabilitation, a Cricket Australia statement said.

PCB lost 47.22 million

Karachi: The Pakistan Cricket Board lost revenue worth 47.22 million after India cancelled their Test tour following the Mumbai attacks. The accounts scrutinised by the Auditor-General of Pakistan show that the board lost revenues of around 39 million through the sale of television rights alone.

Butt to meet ICC officials

Karachi: PCB Chairman Ejaz Butt will meet members of the ICC Special Task Force on Pakistan in Dubai in the weekend to discuss how to resume international cricket in the country. The meeting is important given the fact that there is no sign of resumption in the near future which is causing losses, a PCB official said.

Sohail challenges Butt for debate

Karachi: Former captain Aamer Sohail has challenged Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Ejaz Butt to face him in a live televised debate on the affairs of the board. Sohail said in an interview that he was fed up of hearing Butt trying to distort facts and not telling the truth about the financial affairs of the board.
