India U-19 win series

Johannesburg: India under-19 team were robbed of crucial match practice haead of their World Cup title defence but were declared winners of the tri-series after the final against South Africa was washed out. This was the second match between the two teams that was abandoned due to rain after the last kleague game on Sunday. India entered the final with a clean slate while South Africa and Sri Lanka exchanged points in their two outings. Left-arm seamer Saurabh Netravalkar was adjudged Player of the Series for picking eight wickets,including a five-wicket haul against Sri Lanka.

Tyagi in Test squad

New Delhi: UP fast bowler recieved a call for the Bangaldesh Test series while S Badrinath was omitted in the only change from the Test squad that beat Sri Lanka recently. Ishant Sharma and Pragyan Ohja,both dropped for the one-dayers,retained their places in the Test squad while Sachin Tendulkar will be back after a break.

Squad: MS Dhoni (capt & wk),Virender Sehwag (vice-capt),Gautam Gambhir,Rahul Dravid,Sachin Tendulkar,VVS Laxman,Yuvraj Singh,Harbhajan Singh,Zaheer Khan,Sreesanth,Amit Mishra,Pragyan Ojha,Ishant Sharma,Murali Vijay,Dinesh Karthik (wk),Sudeep Tyagi.

No McGrath for Delhi

New Delhi: Delhi Daredevils bought out its contract with Glenn McGrath ahead of the player auction besides swapping Australian all-rounder Moises Henriques for the England batsman Owais Shah with Kolkata Knight Riders. KKR also bought local boy and Bengal skipper Manoj Tiwary from Daredevils during the IPL transfer window. Meanwhile,Deccan Chargers also ended contracts of Sri Lankan batsman Chamara Silva and bowler Nuwan Zoysa.

Not done yet:Ntini

Cape Town: As speculation grows over Makhaya Ntinis future,the South African fast bowler believes his Test career isnt finished. I believe I have more Test cricket ahead of me, Ntini said. I am going to concentrate on getting back into the Test team. A spokesperson for the fast bowler also told the South African board that Ntini had not signed a Kolpak contract with Middlesex.
