Bengal Mumbai FC enters Governor’s Gold Cup final

They beat Lajong FC of Shillong in a match filled with a lot of excitement.

Bengal Mumbai FC became the second team to enter the finals of 32nd All India Governor’s Gold Cup Football Tournament at Paljor stadium here on Tuesday.

They beat Lajong FC of Shillong in a match filled with a lot of excitement.

In the 71st minute,a good pass by Bengal Mumbai FC captain Henry Gangte was converted into a goal by a header by Ajit Bhoir – putting Bengal Mumbai FC ahead 1-0.

In the dying minutes of the match,Lajong FC tried their best but failed to score.

The first half belonged to Lajong FC which made some forays into Bengal Mumbai FC goal but failed to score.

The first half ended without a goal though Lajong FC strikers made four good attempts. Bengal Mumbai FC players,however,failed to penetrate much into the strong Lajong FC defence.

They will take on ONGC FC in the finals to be played on Tuesday.
