
Hotel Shantai has made all arrangements for a trip into Mughlai country and it8217;s mouth-watering cuisine at their restaurant Utsav. The hotel, located in Rasta Peth, a stone8217;s throw away from MG Road, has organised a Mughlai Food Festival, being held from September 26 to October 10, between 12 noon to 3 p.m. and 7 to 11.30 p.m. The ambience has been specially created by Manish Solanki, of Outer Spaces and the atmosphere recreates the Moghul era, the emporers, queens, palaces and of course their immortal love. Live music adds to the magical touch.
An authentic Mughlai menu has been devised to scintillate the taste buds 8211; A wide range of dishes starting from the traditional welcome drink to appetising shorbas and and vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The Chef8217;s Speciality consists of a variety of dishes like the Hazari Kababs which is boneless chicken pieces tenderised with a creamy marinade and skewered, Shahi Seekh Kabab which is a lamb preparation. From the main course, the following are recommended: Paneer Shahi a rich paneer preparation in cashewnut gravy, Vegetable Shabnam paneer stuffed in arbi leaves, steamed, deep fried and cooked in a green gravy. Murg Mumtaz and Gosht Multani are for the non-vegetarians. And this is not all. The mouth-watering desserts like Gule Firdaust and Kulfi Falooda are perfect to end the meal. Guests can also take away surprise gifts.
