CHANDIGARH, May 30: 8220;Most of the present day students are incompetent to achieve the real goals of life because of some lacunae in the education system8221;, said the National Coordinator of the religious wing of the Rajyoga Education and Research Foundation, Brahma Kumari Prem.

Delivering the keynote address at the ongoing Value-Based Education Campaign, she held that quot;education is a powerful tool to divinise the society, but a negative trend has of late been observed in the education system, wherein there is a wide gap between words and deeds8221;.

She said it was a matter of concern that a spiritually enlightened country like India is rapidly ignoring spiritual values in education. quot;In the absence of moral values, the atmosphere of our educational institutions is not congenial. There is a need to focus on the issue of inculcating moral, spiritual and human values in students as well as in educationists8221;.

Speaking on the occasion, the director, Public Instruction Primary, Punjab, Daljit Kaur Chadda lauded the efforts of the Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya towards spreading the concept of value-based education.
