Prayers for Manmohan

As the countdown began for the make or break trust vote, prayers were held at several places in Punjab on Sunday for continuation of the UPA Government led by Manmohan Singh, country8217;s first Sikh Prime Minister. 8220;Akhand Paath8221; non-stop recital of Sikhs8217; holy book Guru Granth Sahib and 8220;Ardas8221; prayers were held in Chandigarh, Jalandhar, Amritsar and other places for survival of the Government. 8220;Various Sikh bodies have been praying for Singh. The family too has been praying for the continuation of the Government to enable Singh to serve the nation further,8221; Surjit Singh Kohli, younger brother of the Prime Minister said.
