CHENNAI, FEBRUARY 14: Courts in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry wore a deserted look today with advocates staying away in protest against the amendments to the civil procedure code.

The decision to boycott the courts today and tomorrow was taken at a meeting of the advocates association of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry on February 11.

The advocates are also agitating against the Centre’s decision to permit foreign lawyers to practice in the country.
