NAGERCOIL, July 6: Four persons involved in smuggling rice to Kerala and Karnataka have been arrested by the Civil Supplies CID police, under the Essential Commodities Act. According to the IG of Civil Supplies CID, Saravana Perumal, smuggling of rice has declined owing to the intensive combing operations undertaken by the police.
