PM approves GAT

GANDHINAGAR, NOV 15: Gujarat Chief Minister Keshubhai Patel on Monday said that Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee has accepted the state government8217;s proposal to set up Gujarat Administrative Tribunal GAT on the lines of Central Administrative Tribunal.

Patel told newsmen that GAT will hear the grievances of all state government employees. The proposal to this effect was made as nearly 10,000 such cases were pending in Gujarat High Court for many years.

He said it was necessary to have a system for the quick disposal of pending cases and added after a meeting with Vajpayee recently, he accorded the approval for the same.
