A plane carrying up to 70 passengers crashed on take-off at Goma in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo on Tuesday, a UN spokesman in the central African country said.

8220;It is a plane from the company Hewa Bora with 60 to 70 passengers on board,8221; Kemal Saiki, spokesman for the UN mission in Congo, told Reuters. He said the plane appeared to have come down on a business or residential area.
