Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav today braved the scorching heat and pedalled around in a bicycle through the streets of Lucknow, leading a rally of party workers against Chief Minister Mayawati.

Over 3,000 Samajwadi activists, including legislators, took part in today’s ‘‘cycle yatra’’, raising slogans like ‘‘Bol Mulayam Hulla Bol, Mayawati Ki Khul Gaye Pol’’. ‘‘Yeh satya ka rasta hain. Jeet aapki hogi (This is the path of truth. Victory will be yours),’’ Mulayam assured his supporters at brief meetings held at four places during the course of the rally.

NEW DELHI: The BJP high command here on Wednesday resolved to continue the alliance with the BSP. In order to deflate the internal pressure to reconsider the ties, the BJP high command instead decided to turn the attention to revitalisation of the organisation. It took BJP chief M.
